Ben Morutare stab death: Seven identified from CCTV images

Police say seven out of 12 people they want to speak to in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy from Walsall have been identified.

Ben Morutare was stabbed outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club on 28 July.

West Midlands Police released pictures of 12 people officers want to speak to on Thursday.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder and and a number of people remain on police bail.

Two other 17-year-olds have been charged with violent disorder, one of whom is also facing a charge of perverting the course of justice, police said.

On Thursday, a 14-year-old boy handed himself in to officers following the release of the CCTV images.

Det Ch Insp Bob Hazel said: "If you are one of the people shown in the photographs, please do the right thing and come forward to speak to us or if you know anyone pictured, please tell us who they are.

"We will persevere until we know the identities of everyone shown."
