Twelve people are being sought by police investigating the death of a 16-year-old boy.

Ben Morutare, from Walsall, died after being stabbed in the leg outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club on 28 July.

A 17-year-old boy, from Ladywood, has been charged with murder. Two other 17-year-olds have been charged with violent disorder.

Police have released pictures of the 12 people officers want to speak to.

A number of people remain on police bail.

Det Ch Insp Bob Hazel said: "We believe some of those in the CCTV stills could be vital witnesses who have crucial information which would assist our investigation.

"I would urge anyone who recognises themselves in these images or anyone who knows the identities of those pictured to get in touch with us as soon as possible."

In a message released by police on behalf of Ben's family, they said: "This has been an extremely painful loss for us and no words can fully explain the pain we continue to endure."
