Car driver dies after lorry collision in Bournville

A 41-year-old man from Worcestershire has died after the car he was driving collided with the back of a lorry in Birmingham.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the crash occurred on Bournville Lane at about 13:20 BST.

A fire service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find a car that had been in collision with the rear of a lorry and sustained significant damage."

The driver, who has not been named by police, was declared dead at the scene.

No other person was injured in the crash, the spokesman added.
