Wolverhampton rubbish chute baby: Woman in court

A 24-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a baby was found at the bottom of a rubbish chute in Wolverhampton.

Police discovered a baby girl at the bottom of the chute at a block of flats in Boscobel Crescent on Saturday.

She remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Jaymin Abdulrahman, who appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court, was remanded in custody and is due at the city's crown court on 20 September.
