Moving Birmingham library's archive

Moving one of the world's most expensive books to its new home is no mean feat but staff at Birmingham Central Library say they are prepared.

With one year to go until the new £188m Library of Birmingham opens, work is well under way to pack up and relocate the library's vast collections.

John James Audubon's huge Birds of America is among the two million books that will be moved the short distance to the new city centre site in the coming months.

The packing of items started in 2009.
