Warley boy critical after Halesowen assault

A 16-year-old West Midlands boy has been assaulted, leaving him in a critical condition in hospital.

The teenager, from Warley, was found on Cocksheds Lane, Halesowen, by police who were alerted at about 21:10 BST on Friday.

Officers provided first aid until the ambulance service arrived.

Initial inquiries suggested there was an argument involving the boy and three other men which resulted in him getting a serious head injury, police said.

CCTV cameras which may have captured the incident have been identified.
