West Bromwich man in court charged with murder

A man charged with murdering a woman found with head injuries in the West Midlands has appeared in court.

The 26-year-old woman was discovered at an address in High Street, West Bromwich, at about 03:15 BST on Monday, police said. She was taken to hospital, but died on Tuesday.

Piotr Naja, 32, of High Street in the town, was remanded in custody at Sandwell Magistrates' Court.

Mr Naja is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 21 May.

A 26-year-old woman who was also arrested by West Midlands Police has been released without charge.
