Police tent Police were the area off St Anne's Road at about 00:30 GMT on Tuesday

A 28-year-old man has appeared before Wolverhampton magistrates charged with the murder of a man found on parkland in the West Midlands.

Jagjit Singh Villkhu, 33, from Willenhall, was found off St Anne's Road in the town in the early hours of Tuesday.

A post-mortem examination showed he had died from head injuries.

West Midlands Police said another man, aged 26, who was also arrested, remains on bail.

Officers want to trace a green and black Regatta fleece or jacket and a grey hooded jacket as part of their investigations.

Det Ch Insp Andy Bullman from West Midlands Police said: "If anybody has found either of these items of clothing, maybe near the fields, maybe thrown in a rubbish bin, perhaps left at the side of the road or in a garden, I would ask you get in touch with police as soon as possible."
