Man, 28, charged with Willenhall parkland murder

Police tent Police were called to the area at about 00:30 GMT on Tuesday

A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on parkland in a West Midlands town.

The body of Jagjit Singh Villkhu, 33, from Willenhall, was found early on Tuesday off St Anne's Road in the town.

A post-mortem examination showed he had died from head injuries.

The 28-year-old is due to appear at Wolverhampton magistrates on Saturday. Police say another man, aged 26, who was also arrested, remains on bail.

Officers want to trace a green and black Regatta fleece or jacket and a grey hooded jacket as part of their investigations.

Det Ch Insp Andy Bullman from West Midlands Police said: "If anybody has found either of these items of clothing, maybe near the fields, maybe thrown in a rubbish bin, perhaps left at the side of the road or in a garden, I would ask you get in touch with police as soon as possible."
