Newbury man Nigel Talman accused of wife's murder

A man has been charged with murdering his wife at their Berkshire home.

Nigel Talman, 60, of Carnarvon Close, Newbury, is accused of killing Sandra Talman. He appeared before Reading magistrates' on Tuesday.

Police were called to the housing complex for over-55s and found Mrs Talman's body, at about 07:30 BST on Sunday.

Results of a post-mortem examination showed the 62-year-old died of compression to the neck.

Mr Talman was remanded in custody to appear before Reading Crown Court on Thursday.
