Pensioner killed in crash in Maidenhead hospital crash

St Mark's Hospital Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward

A 79-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car in a hospital car park in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Police were called shortly after 09:30 BST following a report of a silver Vauxhall Zafira colliding with a pedestrian in the car park of St Mark's Hospital, in St Mark's Road.

The victim, from Bracknell, Berkshire, was trapped by the car and died at the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward.
