A woman who died when she was hit by a bus in Reading has been named.

Sarah Charlton, from Tilehurst, died at the scene of the crash in Friar Street on Friday.

The mum-of-one was a nurse at the town's Royal Berkshire Hospital, where she had worked for 32 years.

Orthopaedic consultant Richard Dodds paid tribute to "a loyal and much valued member of nursing staff" and praised her passion for her work in the Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic.
