Datchet man, 72, arrested after man stabbed in home

A 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of organising the stabbing of a man at a house in Berkshire.

The 48-year-old victim told the BBC he "feared greatly for his safety" when two men burst into his home in Datchet on 5 March.

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, was then punched, kicked and stamped on before being stabbed in the leg.

The arrested man, also from Datchet, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH.

Thames Valley Police said officers were investigating the attack, which left the victim needing two days of hospital treatment.
