Driver dies in M4 motorway crash in Berkshire

A driver died when the car he was travelling in crashed on the M4 motorway in Berkshire.

The collision on the westbound section between junctions 8 and 9 at Maidenhead and 10 at Wokingham happened shortly after 20:00 GMT on Saturday.

Thames Valley Police said the man's Peugeot hit the central reservation and collided with another car, before leaving the road and hitting trees.

The 32-year-old was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

The road was closed for a time while collision investigators inspected the scene.
