Driver, 35, killed in A34 crash near Newbury

A 35-year-old driver has been killed in a crash on the A34 in Berkshire.

Police said his Toyota Yaris was in collision with a black BMW on the southbound carriageway near Speen, Newbury, at about 22:10 BST on Friday.

The Toyota driver, from Hampshire, died at the scene. The road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw either car prior to it, has been asked to contact police.
