Oxford child exploitation inquiry: Berkshire man charged

A man has been charged as part of an ongoing police investigation into the sexual exploitation of children in Oxford.

The 26-year-old man from Maidenhead, Berkshire, has been charged with raping a girl under the age of 16 and sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Oxford magistrates on Thursday.

Last month, seven men were jailed for a string of offences linked to a sadistic sex grooming ring in Oxford.

The men's offences included child rape and trafficking, between 2004 and 2012.
