Burglary victim threatened with 'handgun' in Bracknell

A woman was threatened with what is thought to have been a handgun in a burglary at their home in Berkshire.

The woman and a man were awoken by two men who forced them to hand over cash and mobile phones at the property in Nightingale Crescent, Bracknell.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries to his face, neck and arms after he was assaulted during the burglary. He has now been discharged.

The burglary happened at about 02:30 BST on Friday.

Det Sgt Peter Wall from Thames Valley Police said: "This was a distressing incident for the victims, one of whom believed they saw a gun."

Both suspects are described as black men aged in their twenties.
