Arsonist search after Slough car park blaze

An arsonist is being sought by police after cars were set on fire in a car park below a block of flats.

The vehicles underneath Queen's Court, Baylis, Slough were set on fire in the early hours.

Det Insp Nicola Denard said: "The vehicles were set alight as residents were asleep, posing a serious threat of endangering life."

A 29-year-old man was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

Police said the fire, which led to the building being evacuated, was being treated as suspicious and a full investigation was under way.
