Berkshire headquarters for telecommunications firm opened

Telecommunications company Huawei has officially opened its new UK headquarters in Reading.

The Chinese firm, which pulled out of Basingstoke, now employs more than 900 people at the site in Green Park.

The move has been hailed as good news for Thames Valley.

But it has been overshadowed by concerns that its technology could be used to undermine national security.
