Windsor and Maidenhead £4.5m transport budget approved

A Berkshire council has approved plans to spend £4.5m in 2013-14 on its road network and facilities for cyclists.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council also plans to introduce 20mph zones in areas where ward councillors feel they will improve safety.

A 20mph speed limit will also be introduced on the B376 in Datchet.

£1.4m will be spent repairing and resurfacing roads while a cycle path through Maidenhead will be extended.
