Anti-nuclear group stages protest

1 April 2013 Last updated at 16:10 BST

Thousands of anti-nuclear campaigners staged a demonstration in Berkshire.

The group met at the headquarters of the UK's Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston for the protest.

It was organised by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament at the start of a month-long protest called Stop Fooling With Nuclear Weapons.

Campaigners are calling on the government to scrap the Trident nuclear weapons system - which is developed at AWE - and cancel its replacement.

Trident is the UK's nuclear deterrent.
