The family of a 32-year-old woman who died in a crash involving three cars in Berkshire have paid tribute to a "perfect daughter" and "loving wife".

Katherine Howard, who lived in Great Shefford, died after the crash on Priors Court Road, near the Newbury Showground in Chieveley on 26 February.

She died at the scene. The vehicles involved were a silver Nissan Micra, a blue Suzuki Vitara and a black Mercedes C200.

Police have appealed for witnesses.

'Loyal friend'

In a statement released by her family, Mrs Howard was also described as "warm, vibrant and beautiful".

It read: "A perfect daughter, loving wife, the soul mate to her sister, a doting aunty and a loyal friend to so many.

"She left this world and all its muddles and silliness so she could sit, [as] an angel, on the shoulders of our family and look after us."

A male driver was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in a critical condition after the crash, which happened at about 15:55 GMT on 26 February.

He is still in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
