Reading police pursuit driver named as Matthew Seddon
Six police vehicles were involved in the pursuit on the A33 in Reading
A 19-year-old man who died in a crash during a police pursuit has been named.
Matthew Seddon was thrown from his Ford Fiesta and was hit by at least one police car after he did a U-turn and crashed into the central reservation of the A33 in Reading.
His car was being pursued after failing to stop. The teenager, from Wensley Road, Reading, died at the scene.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating the circumstances of Monday's crash.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
The Fiesta was travelling along the A33 southbound carriageway, performed a U-turn and was travelling in the opposite direction when the crash happened.
Six police vehicles, including a police dog unit and an armed response vehicle, were involved in the incident.
