Maidenhead murder inquiry: Man held after woman dies

A man arrested on suspicion of murder following the "unexplained" death of a 38-year-old woman has been released on bail.

The 32-year-old was held after a woman collapsed at a house in Furrow Way, Cox Green, Maidenhead, on Saturday morning.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Wexham Park Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police said a post-mortem test was "inconclusive". They were awaiting results of toxicology tests.

Det Supt Chris Ward, leading the investigation, said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and are actively carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding how the woman died.
