A man wearing a Remembrance poppy has been caught on CCTV stealing a Royal British Legion collection tin.

Thames Valley Police has released images after the theft at the Co-op in Scafell Road, Slough, Berkshire.

The man went to the cash desk and cut the string connecting the tin to the till. He left the shop with the tin under his jacket, a police spokesman said.

The man was wearing his poppy on a green waterproof jacket.

The tin was stolen on 8 November. Police are appealing for those who recognise the man in the images to come forward.
