Driver killed in Padworth Common tree crash

A man was killed when the car he was driving hit a tree in a Berkshire village.

Police were called shortly before 07:00 GMT after the MG ZS car struck a tree near the junction of Baughurst Road and Rectory Road in Padworth Common.

The driver of the car, a 38-year-old man from Tadley in Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
