Pig's head found outside Newbury mosque

A pig's head has been found outside a mosque in Berkshire.

Thames Valley Police said they were treating the incident "extremely seriously" and "will not tolerate hate crime".

CCTV from the area around the mosque in Pound Street, Newbury, is being reviewed, while scenes of crime officers are examining the scene.

Insp Al Lloyd, from the force, said officers were "pursuing a number of lines of inquiry".

He added: "I would urge anyone in the community who has any information about this incident, or who knows who may be responsible, to contact police urgently."
