A 3D model showing how a Berkshire town may look after its regeneration has gone on display.

Wokingham Borough Council is showing the latest plans for the town following a public consultation in July 2011.

It said it would like further feedback on the proposals ahead of the submission for planning permission in September.

If approved, building work could start in 2014 and be completed in late 2016.

Councillor Alistair Corrie said: "We look forward to hearing what people think of the evolving plans and would urge people to give us their views so that we can take this into account as the proposals are finalised."

The town has suffered in recent years as major retailers have moved out of the area to larger out-of-town developments.
