Reading railway station bridge lifted into place

Engineers have worked through four nights to lift a new passenger footbridge into place at Reading station.

The station is undergoing a facelift as part of Network Rail's £897m upgrade.

By the end of 2015, platforms will be extended and straightened to deal with longer trains.

And many diesel trains will be replaced by electric high-speed inter-city services.
