Driver dies in a three-car crash in Buckinghamshire

A 55-year-old driver died at the scene of a three-car collision on the A418 road in Buckinghamshire on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened between Wing and Leighton Buzzard near the entrance to Ascott House at about 14:55 GMT.

The driver of a Peugeot 206 estate died in a crash involving a Kia Sorento and a Toyota Townace people carrier.

A man and a woman, both in the Kia, were also injured and were taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital.

The collision resulted in the road being closed for several hours while the emergency services worked at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
