Newbury's Parkway development opening nears
A Berkshire town centre shopping development is set to open at the end of October, a council has said.
Parkway, in the centre of Newbury, includes a shopping area and 147 apartments, including affordable homes.
West Berkshire Council said the development, due to open on 27 October, would provide a major boost for shopping in the region.
Retailers to open stores there include John Lewis and Debenhams. The site is between Northbrook Street and Park Way.
The development, which also has a 558-space car park, is being led by Standard Life Investments.
