Reading's public buildings could get solar panels

Landmark public buildings across Reading, including the Grade II listed Town Hall, could have their roofs covered in solar panels.

Council leaders will meet on Wednesday evening and are set to approve a plan to bulk-buy equipment to generate electricity.

It is hoped the move will cut electricity bills and generate income for the council.
