Reading Festival 2011 weekend tickets sold out

Reading Festival 2011 weekend tickets have now sold out, promoters Festival Republic have confirmed.

Day tickets for Saturday and Sunday have also sold out but Friday tickets are still available, a spokesman said.

Tickets have been on sale for the 87,000-capacity event since the line-up announcement on Monday, 21 March.

In previous years tickets for the rock festival, which is on August Bank Holiday weekend, have sold out within 24 hours.

The Reading Festival takes place from Friday, 26 August to Sunday, 28 August.

Headliners this year are Muse, My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Pulp.
