Arrests in Slough prostitution crackdown
A crack-down on street prostitution in a Berkshire town has led to the arrest of 36 men, police have revealed.
Thames Valley Police said the men were all arrested on suspicion of soliciting in the Chalvey area of Slough between 21 and 24 February.
The men, aged between 22 and 52, have all been released on bail.
A similar operation in March 2010 resulted in 23 men being convicted of soliciting. Another is due to stand trial this year.
Officers said 25 of the men are from Slough with others from Maidenhead, Windsor, Reading, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and London.
