Aqeel Khan Aqeel Khan died in Watford General Hospital

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a man stabbed to death in Watford.

Aqeel Khan, 18, was found with stab wounds in Croxley View on Friday afternoon. He died in Watford General Hospital a short time later.

A teenager from Watford appeared before Hatfield Remand Court charged with murder and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear before St Albans' Youth Court on Wednesday, said Hertfordshire Police.

A 15-year-old boy, also from Watford and arrested as part of the investigation, has been charged with affray and has been bailed to appear before St Alban's Youth Court on 10 September.

Two other male youths have been released with no further action.

Det Insp Jon Mc Adam said: "Our thoughts are with Aqeel's family at this extremely difficult time and they are being supported by specialist officers.

"I would urge anyone with any information at all in connection to this incident to come forward and speak to police."
