Arrest in Olney burglary and rape inquiry

A man has been arrested following the alleged rape of a woman during a burglary at her home.

Two men carried out the raid at Olney near Milton Keynes in the early hours of Saturday.

The woman, in her 50s, told Thames Valley Police she was raped by one man, while the other searched her home and stole cash, credit cards and jewellery.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and released on police bail until next month.
