£12m of heroin 'found in floor tiles lorry in Letchworth'

A driver's suspicions about his lorry's load led to the seizure of £12m worth of heroin, a court has heard.

The Dutch national alerted police when he stopped in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, in November last year.

Police found the stash in the trailer among a consignment of floor tiles, St Albans Crown Court heard.

Knoll Bryan, 73, of Solon Road, Brixton, south-west London, denies conspiring with others to import heroin into the UK.

The case continues.
