Woman dies in three car collision in A41 near Waddesden

A woman has died and four children have been seriously injured in a collision involving three cars on the A41 in Buckinghamshire.

A Toyota carrying seven children was in collision with a Vauxhall and a Renault near Waddesdon shortly after 11:00 GMT, police said.

The Vauxhall driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thames Valley Police said the road would be closed for several hours while it carries out inquiries.

Police appeal

The four seriously injured children were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment.

The remaining three were taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital along with the driver of the Toyota.

The female driver of a grey Renault was unhurt in the accident, said police.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the collision to come forward with information and advised drivers to avoid the area while road closures are in place.
