Bacombe Lane, Wendover The boy was assaulted before he could run away

An 11-year-old boy has been sexually assaulted by a man believed to be in his 40s on a country lane in Buckinghamshire.

The boy was walking near a bridleway on Bacombe Lane, Wendover, about 16:40 GMT on Friday when it happened, Thames Valley Police said.

Det Insp Ben Gasson said the boy was not hurt but had "understandably been left shaken".

The attacker was white with stubble and wore a grey and black hooded top.

Mr Gasson said: "I am appealing for anyone who saw a man matching the description or anyone seen acting suspiciously in this area to contact police."
