Boy, 16, charged with attempted murder after Luton burglary stabbing

A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed by masked intruders at his home in Luton.

Three people broke into Tony Abrahams's house in Wellfield Avenue at about 03:25 GMT on Saturday, Bedfordshire Police said.

The teenager, who was arrested in London on Tuesday, has also been charged with aggravated burglary.

Luton magistrates remanded him to appear at the crown court on Thursday.

Mr Abrahams, 47, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital, police said.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
