John Bass denies murdering Mark Austin in Aylesbury

A 53-year-old from Buckinghamshire has appeared in court accused of the murder of man, described by his family as a "talented musician".

At Reading Crown Court, John Bass, of Arundel Green in Aylesbury, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mark Austin.

Mr Austin, also 53, died in hospital the day after a fight in the Harcourt Green area of Aylesbury on 31 January.

Mr Bass was remanded in custody to appear at the same court for trial on 28 October.
