A serviceman accidentally drowned at a military base in Bedfordshire, an inquest has found.

Martin Kelleher, 37, who lived at Chicksands Barracks, near Shefford, was found dead in an ornamental pond at the base in May.

He was found after being reported missing to police. A spokesman said his death was not suspicious.

Assistant Coroner Bob Amos recorded a narrative verdict that Mr Kelleher died of immersion.
