Signed football shirts taken in burglary in Bedford
Football shirts and photographs signed by Manchester United, England and Real Madrid footballers have been stolen in a burglary in Bedford.
The items had been signed by players including Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, George Best and Denis Law.
They were taken, along with electronic equipment, watches, jewellery and golf clubs from a house in Tyne Crescent.
Police said the football memorabilia stolen was worth a considerable amount of money.
Det Con Lynn Adams, of Bedfordshire Police, said: "These items are easy to recognise and the person who took them will eventually have to try to sell them on."
She urged anyone offered the items to contact police or Crimestoppers.
Among the items stolen in the burglary, between 14:45 and 16:15 BST on 4 August, were pictures and photographs signed by Pele, Paul Scholes, Bobby Charlton and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
An Alex Ferguson training top and signed England and Real Madrid shirts were also taken.
A Ferrari watch with a yellow dial, a Hugo Boss silver watch and a Festina watch with a dark blue face and silver strap were stolen, along with a wooden jewellery box shaped like a treasure chest containing a gold wedding ring and a platinum necklace.
