A new CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to over the fatal stabbing of a man at his Bedfordshire home.

Sharif Demirsay, 65, died after three men armed with knives forced their way into Vineyard Way, Kempston, at 21:30 BST on 14 May and attacked him.

An image has been issued of a man in a hooded coat who was pictured nearby, between 17:39 and 17:49 BST that day.

Police said they want to find the man to eliminate him from the inquiry.

The offenders stole money and jewellery from Mr Demirsay's 68-year-old partner, who was stabbed in the arm while trying to protect him.

Murder arrest

Det Insp Dan Pawson said: "By releasing yet more CCTV we hope to piece together who was in the area in the hours running up to Sharif's murder and whether they saw or heard anything that could help detect this crime.

"I would urge the person shown on this latest CCTV to come forward, or anyone that recognises him to give us a call."

Bedfordshire Police have already released CCTV images on social media sites and sent text messages using Bluetooth technology to people in the Hartwell Drive and Vineyard Way area as part of the murder appeal.

Previously, officers have said they believe it was a targeted attack but are keeping an open mind about the motive.

A 24-year-old man arrested in May on suspicion of murder has been bailed until the end of July.
