Aylesbury murder inquiry: Man found with 'gunshot wound'

Police have launched a murder inquiry after man's body was found in Buckinghamshire.

Police said the man, believed to be Darrell Farnham, 44, was found in a property on Belgrave Road in Aylesbury on Sunday night.

The ambulance service said he had a gunshot wound.

Police said they were waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination and to formally identify the dead man.

Det Supt Chris Ward said "We are now treating this investigation as a murder inquiry.

"We do not currently believe this was random incident, but I urge anyone with information to contact police immediately."

A cordon was set up on Belgrave Road, affecting access to Thomas Hickman school.

Supt Olly Wright said: "There are inevitably going to be rumours, but we are at the early stages of this investigation and still collecting the evidence, trying to establish exactly what happened."
