Jordan Maguire Luton Marsh Farm stabbing: Two arrested
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in a "brutal" attack at his home in Luton.
Jordan Maguire, 20, died shortly after being admitted to Luton and Dunstable hospital.
Emergency services were called to Thrales Close, Marsh Farm, at about 20.15 BST on Sunday.
A man, 22, and girl, 16, are being held in custody after voluntarily attending Luton police station.
Det Ch Insp Steve Collin, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "This was a very brutal murder and a team of detectives is now piecing together exactly what took place in Thrales Close.
"Our officers are working with witnesses and members of the victim's family to establish what happened prior to the stabbing and who may be responsible for this.
"The early stages of this investigation suggest that the victim may well have known his attacker as there was no indication of a disturbance prior to the fatal assault.
"I would urge anyone who may have seen the incident itself or anyone with even the smallest piece of information to come forward."
Detectives said they were keeping an open mind about the motive for the killing.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Mr Maguire on Monday.
