Barri White: 'They thought I was a murderer'

4 September 2013 Last updated at 11:29 BST

Barri White describes what it felt like to be seen as a murderer by the parents of his girlfriend, Rachel Manning.

Mr White was jailed for life in 2002 for supposedly strangling Miss Manning in Milton Keynes.

He was acquitted in 2008, after six years in prison, when forensic evidence was shown to be unsafe.

He talked to BBC's Mark Daly as Shahidul Ahmed is convicted of murder.

'Life after life: Barri and Keith's story' will feature on Inside Out on BBC1 in the East at 19:30 GMT on Monday, and later on the iPlayer.
