Man charged with missing woman Patricia Goodband's murder

Patricia Goodband was last seen on 17 December

A man has been charged with murdering a 76-year-old businesswoman from Buckinghamshire who was last seen on 17 December.

Patricia Goodband, also known by the surname Roberts, was a director of Rakechoice Limited, a building supplies company based at her Woodham home.

Her daughter reported her missing to police on 9 January.

Christopher Symons, 63, of Thackeray End, Aylesbury, has been charged with murder, Thames Valley Police said.

A second man, Robert Taft, 59, of Kings Close, Westcott, Aylesbury, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Both men have been remanded in custody to appear before Aylesbury Magistrates' Court.

Police are continuing to carry out searches at three locations in the Aylesbury area in connection with the inquiry, including at Ms Goodband's home.

Ms Goodband is described as white, 5ft 5in tall with short, brown hair.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen her since 17 December.
