Cheshunt man and Waltham Cross woman found dead in house named

A businessman killed his estranged wife before killing himself at a house in Hertfordshire, police believe.

The bodies of Terry and Myrna Kirby were found at Mr Kirby's home on Great Cambridge Road in Cheshunt by ambulance staff on Friday.

It was confirmed detectives were treating the death of Myrna Kirby, 57, of Waltham Cross as murder, and that of Mr Kirby, 72, as suicide.

Police said they were not looking for anyone else over the deaths.

Mrs Kirby moved out of the family home and into a flat in Waltham Cross when they separated two years ago.

The cause of deaths has not yet been revealed.
