Fire damage repairs continuing at Appspond Lane site
Power to lines above a fire at a Hertfordshire recycling centre which has been burning for two weeks, has still not fully returned.
The blaze at Wood Recycling Services (WRS) in Potters Crouch has been burning since 10 November.
On Thursday the National Grid said power would be restored by the evening.
But it has confirmed the operation was "complex" and while one circuit had been repaired, the other would be completed on Friday.
Despite the loss of power, residents have not been badly affected because electricity was diverted around the network.
On Thursday, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue said the fire at the Appspond Lane site had now "diminished considerably" but it expected to be on the scene for "at least another five days".
